Peak Hosting Gains VMware IaaS Powered Status for vCloud Air Network

Operations-as-a-service managed hosting provider Peak Hosting has been accepted into the VMware vCloud Air Network, meaning the company’s OaaS solution is compatible with VMware’s virtualization platform.

Peak Hosting customers will have the ability to move workloads from their VMware- based virtualized or private cloud environments to the VMware IaaS Powered service and back.

The company sought VMware IaaS Powered validation to provide customers with the ability to utilize virtualization technology without having to deal with licensing fees, according to the announcement.

“At Peak Hosting, we’re committed to providing our customers with design flexibility and cutting-edge technology that meets their specific needs for managed hosting,” said Erin Stadick, product engineering manager at Peak Hosting, in a statement. “Achieving VMware IaaS Powered status allows us to deliver to our customers custom infrastructure with a dedicated cloud service that provides additional headroom for on-demand scalability.”

VMware brought its vCloud Air Network online in August as a singular ecosystem to provide hybrid cloud services to business partners.
