Nutanix Era now bundles with HPE ProLiant servers, offered as a service through GreenLake.

Nutanix is expanding its partnership with HPE to accelerate hybrid and multicloud adoption.

Nutanix Era, the cloud provider’s multi-database operations and management solution now bundles with HPE ProLiant servers. It is offered as a service through GreenLake, HPE’s pay-per-use cloud model. Fully managed by the companies, Nutanix says Era allows customers to deploy applications and data benefits in minutes. Furthermore, they benefit from agile, elastic, pay-per-use capabilities of the cloud. They also get governance, visibility and compliance that an on-premises environment provides.

Keith White is SVP and general manager, HPE GreenLake cloud services. He says customers want to simplify their database operations and abandon IT silos. Nutanix Era via HPE GreenLake can keep security risks and maintenance costs and low.

Case in point: Nutanix claims customers using Era have seen the speed of database provisioning go up by 97%. As a result, no more average losses of $35,000 per hour from unplanned downtime. Nutanix Era also decreases storage requirements for copies and backups by 60%. Furthermore, database administrators are putting in 50% less overtime.

“By building on our successful collaboration with Nutanix, together the HPE GreenLake and the Nutanix Era database operations and management software solution will increase agility, simplify operations and cut costs by delivering a fully managed cloud offering,” said White.

Extending the Partnership

This effort from HPE and Nutanix furthers their partnership. The companies have saw an 80% year-over-year increase in ACV bookings during the first quarter of this year.
