ASG Software Acquires NTRglobal

ASG Software Solutions has acquired NTRglobal, which offers a cloud-based help desk and IT service management platform. The NTRglobal platform is widely used by VARs and MSPs for remote control and end-customer support.

ASG Software Solutions focuses on application management, infrastructure management, and IT automation solutions. The company claims to optimize 85 percent of the world’s most complex IT organizations for more than 25 years. (Side note: Talkin’ Cloud is trying to determine if that 85 percent figure represents 85 percent of the global 2000 or the Fortune 500 or some other big business indicator.)

Meanwhile, NTRglobal supports more than 14,000 companies across 60 countries. Over the past few years, NTRglobal has built strong relationships with such MSP-centric partners as ConnectWise and N-able Technologies. Earlier this week, N-able specifically mentioned the NTRglobal relationship as part of a major product upgrade for MSPs.

In a prepared statement, NTRglobal CEO Gilles Samoun said:

“Together, ASG and NTRglobal bring tangible market value to enterprises who are adopting cloud-based software to support their IT infrastructure and customer support operations. We look forward to working with ASG to deliver an expanded product portfolio to our current partners and customers in the help desk and ITSM markets.”

Financial terms of the ASG Software-NTRglobal deal were not disclosed. We’re checking in with both companies to learn whether NTRglobal’s channel partner program — which includes VARs and MSPs as customers — will evolve under ASG Software’s ownership.
