LDMI, Talk America Combo Debuts

At The Channel Partners Conference & Expo, LDMI Telecommunications and its parent company Talk America Holdings Inc. (Booth 803) are making their first joint appearance since the two merged in July. The combined company plans to use the show to reach Midwest-based agents, an audience that matches its growing service region in Michigan and Ohio, and in Chicago.

LDMI/Talk America is a competitive carrier with an independent infrastructure to support voice services, DSL, T1s and managed

offers, with a service footprint that extends beyond the Midwest to California, the South and other areas of the country. LDMI operates as the business and commercial services arm of the company and retains its branding, while Talk America remains focused on providing residential services.

Our channel partners are a key component of the Talk America and LDMI demand engine, says Mark Wayne, senior vice president of business sales. This is evident in our competitive commissions programs as well as our aggressive growth plans for the agent channel.

The company will showcase its ConnecT xTreme, a dedicated Internet access service with 3mbps to 6mbps of throughput, released in August. The service, available in LDMIs Michigan and Ohio service areas, includes the Internet access and a suite of features for businesses, including customer premises equipment, five IP addresses, 20 e-mail accounts,Web site hosting with 200MB space available and 7.5GB data transfer per month, plus hosting of one domain name.

Businesses choosing a three-year contract with 3mbps receive free installation and a monthly rate of $1,050. Additional Internet access speeds and contract periods are available.
