PRESS RELEASE — SANTA ANA, Calif., April 4, 2018 – The Alliance of Channel Women, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of female channel leaders in technology, announced today its ACWConnect Live! Networking Event, the first under the new name, will be held from 5-8 p.m., April 17, 2018, in the main stage ballroom (Level 5, The Palazzo Ballroom L) in Las Vegas during the Channel Partners Conference & Expo.

ACW-Event-Keynote-Promo.jpg“The main stage is the center for the action at Channel Partners, so we are excited to have such a high-profile venue for our first event as Alliance of Channel Women,” said Events Committee Chair Raquel Wiley, senior channel marketing manager for TPx. “In the past, our Vegas event has been standing-room only, so we’re happy to announce that we have room for all the women in tech who want to join us for a great night of networking and inspiring speakers.”

ACWConnect Live! is a high-energy forum fosters collaboration and inspiration. As with every event, we’ll start our evening with cocktails and networking, followed by a program featuring channel leaders talking about hot topics.

This year, there’s a lot to talk about. Women are rising up, speaking out and demanding change. Critical conversations are happening from the lunchroom to the boardroom. What’s different is that our leaders, our cultural icons, our bosses, our media, and our co-workers are finally listening and believing!  As women, we’re fighting to be heard and respected. As women in technology, we’re working to advance careers and leadership opportunities for women in the channel. As individuals, we’re championing flexible work schedules, campaigning to win a coveted promotion or negotiating a well-deserved raise.

With that in mind, Alliance of Channel Women is focusing its flagship event on ways the organization and its members can stand up, be bold and take action.

In our keynote panel, “Stand Up. Be Bold. Take Action,” an all-star panel of female channel leaders will offer inspiration and advice for how to cultivate change from the top down and the bottom up inside every tech organization. They include:

  • Theresa Caragol, Founder & CEO, Achieve Unite

  • Jasmina Muller, Senior Director, Channel Partner Program, CenturyLink

  • Annette Taber, Vice President, Industry Outreach, CompTIA

  • Heather Tenuto, Vice President, Channels, Office Depot

“We’re excited to have a panel of accomplished women leaders to talk about what’s been happening in the post-#metoo era and how to capture that momentum to make positive changes for women in the channel,” said Wiley.

Arrive on time, bring your business cards, elevator pitch, creative energy and open mind. This will be a great event to kick off the conference and meet other like-minded women. Register today!
