Presidio Networked Solutions has completed its buyout of INX Inc., an infrastructure solutions integrator and fellow managed services provider. The $85 million deal, which first surfaced in November 2011, blends two VAR500 companies that have a combined 1,800 employees.

INX positions itself as a leading provider of IP-based unified communications and data center/cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise organizations. INX earned its Cisco Managed Services Master Certification in July 2010. More recently, INX scored a five-year managed services contract with Community Memorial Health System (CMHS) in Southern California’s Ventura County. The deal reportedly is worth $750,000.

Presidio, meanwhile, positions itself as a leading provider of professional and managed services for advanced IT solutions. The company works closely with Cisco, EMC, HP, IBM, NetApp, VMware and Microsoft.

On the managed services front, Presidio promotes Sentry Managed Services, which blanket network, security, data center, video and desktop management services. The company also offers hosted infrastructure, backup and recovery services in the cloud.

Both Presidio and INX were ranked on CRN’s 2011 VAR500 list. Presidio completed the INX acquisition on Dec. 30, 2011.
