Ruckus Networks has appointed Bart Giordano as its new senior vice president of worldwide sales, responsible for revenue, gross margin and all aspects of the company’s go-to-market activities.

Giordano joined Ruckus three years ago, and last year he established a cross-functional cloud services practice to accelerate recurring revenue and drive operational efficiency across the company’s SaaS portfolio.

Last December, Arris completed its $800 million purchase of Brocade’s Ruckus Wireless and ICX switch business from Broadcom.

“These past three years, it’s been exciting to build our team and develop our strategy to expand our business and open new routes to market,” Giordano said. “Moving ahead, I look forward to leading a world-class organization to sell our industry-leading products and services alongside our channel partners. We’ll continue our focus to expand core vertical segments and deliver solutions that result in positive business outcomes for our customers.”

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in August.

Giordano’s 20-year career includes both technical and business roles in networking, wireless and cloud companies. Prior to joining Ruckus, he led partner sales and business development at Egnyte, an enterprise software company. He also held senior product management, marketing and business development roles in wireless connectivity at Marvell Semiconductor.

“Since joining Ruckus Networks three years ago, Bart Giordano has built a top-notch global sales team,” said Ian Whiting, Ruckus’ president. “Bart’s been responsible for growing revenue and market share through strategic partners and verticals, and his team has secured major design wins with Google, Facebook, IBM, and Lenovo. We look forward to the continued opportunities that Bart and his team will bring to our business and our partners.”
