Telecom for Change Hosts Charity Golf Event

Telecom for Change, a professional organization of agents and carriers, hosted more than 120 guests at its fundraiser held in conjunction with the Spring 2015 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.

This event, the organization’s most productive to date, raised $35,000 to benefit Safe Nest, a Las Vegas charity dedicated to providing care and rehabilitation for those affected by domestic violence.

The golf tournament and auction took place at TPC Las Vegas. Guests were treated to lunch, dinner and drinks, with music provided by DJ Michael Toast. Tournament sponsors were Intelisys, Comcast, and Time Warner Cable. Equinix was a platinum sponsor. Evolve IP, powered by Polycom, was a gold sponsor.

LanYap Networks’ Angie Tocco and Laura Dashney founded Telecom for Change a year ago. The board now also includes Carol Beering of Intelisys, Neely Loring of Matrix IBS, Scott Kinka of Evolve IP, and Rachel McNeese of Richardson Communications.
