ICG Sells Calif. VoIP Customers to ONIT

ICG Communications Inc., the Colorado-based wholesale services provider, has sold its corporate VoIP customers in California to ONIT Communications Inc., the companies said today.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This will be ONITs third acquisition of a regional group of ICG business customers in less than a year. The hosted VoIP provider bought ICG’s Southeast regional and Texas customers in 2005.

“The migration of ICG VoicePipe customers to the ONIT TruVoIP service has been extremely successful strategically,” said Dan Scofield, ONIT’s COO. “The addition of ICG’s California-based business customers has provided ONIT with new serviceable markets on the West Coast and helped us continue our national service rollout.”
