A long-time channel leader for ShoreTel has joined another unified communications provider in CallTower.

CallTower’s Peter Agricola

Peter Agricola is CallTower’s new director of value-added reseller (VAR) development. He has worked in a variety of sales and channel roles for unified communications companies in the Boston area since 1988.

He most recently served as ShoreTel’s vice president of sales and activation. He had been working for the company since 2005. He also spent a year and a half at Avaya. Other past employers  include Polycom and Verizon.

Agricola wrote on his LinkedIn this summer that he was looking for a new opportunity beyond ShoreTel.

“I am grateful for the almost 12 years that I spent at ShoreTel,” he wrote. “I worked with and for some tremendously talented people who have helped me grew not only professionally but personally as well. I am excited for the next door to open.”

CallTower praised Agricola’s ability to grow long-term relationships with partners. Tom Sullivan, vice president of sales, credited his channel experience.

“Peter is a game-changer for our VAR program. CallTower is growing at an unprecedented rate and Peter joining our team is instrumental in our continued channel success plan,” he said.

The company hired two regional channel managers in June. Agricola says he looks forward to joining CallTower’s team.

“CallTower’s vision and expansive growth in the unified communications and collaboration industry are truly remarkable. I am thrilled to be joining an organization that delivers both hosted IP Cisco and Microsoft voice solutions tailored to meet the needs to today’s competitive global environment,” Agricola said. “CallTower is able to enhance and customize UCaaS solutions to meet the needs of today’s global marketplace. They are not only differentiated by their ability to delivery ground-breaking solutions, they have exceptional technical and customer support.”

A ShoreTel partner business manager moved over to TPx Communications earlier this week. No doubt more will be on the move now that Mitel has completed its acquisition of its former rival.
