BCN CEO Richard Boudria Jr. now serves as the company’s chairman in the wake of his father’s death.

Richard “Dick” Boudria died May 15 at the age of 70, according to the New Jersey-based Star-Ledger. He founded the company in 1994 and served as chairman until his death. He was the CEO until his son replaced him in 2017.

“Mr. Boudria was known for ceaselessly working on finding new opportunities for his company, which today is a leading provider of technology solutions focused on simplifying complexity for multi-location businesses,” the obituary in the Star-Ledger read. “Richard Boudria was very proud that for almost a quarter of a century, BCN delivered best-in-class solutions domestically and internationally for thousands of business customers.”

Boudria Jr., who has been with the company for more than a decade, will serve as CEO and chairman. BCN, formerly known as BCN Telecom, praised him in its Monday realignment announcement.

“His strategic financial, industry, partner and client relationships are the foundation for empowering his teams to capitalize on opportunities for the company to succeed and grow. His vision for the company will deliver a set of guiding principles designed to maximize the potential of BCN employees and the partner community through which BCN exclusively goes to market,” the company said.

Chief Operating Officer Julian Jacquez will take Boudria Jr.’s former role as president of the company. Both men accepted board-level promotions two years ago when Tom McCrosson and John Kean Jr. stepped down from the leadership team. The company writes that Jacquez will handle “sales, marketing, offer-management and operations.”

“He will continue to be actively involved in the development and management of the company’s nationwide partner based distribution channel as well as creating the related alignment of the compensation and reward programs of the employee groups at BCN,” the company said in the announcement.

BCN has been growing its agent channel and portfolio in recent years. It partnered with master agent WTG in the spring. It also added new broadband provider partners and expanded its service availability to new states in the last year. A former Verizon Business Markets employee joined BCN in December to lead agent sales in the Southwest.
