Atos is starting 2021 with the U.S. rollout of its new Unify Office by RingCentral UCaaS offering and the acquisition of In Fidem.

Last summer, RingCentral and Atos expanded their strategic partnership with the launch of a co-branded UCaaS offering, Unify Office by RingCentral. It is now available in the United States.

Unify Office allows businesses to communicate and collaborate using voice, video and team messaging capabilities. They can communicate from anywhere, and on any device via a single enterprise solution.

“Customers seek communication and collaboration solutions that interact with their preferred business applications and provide future-proofed capabilities for businesses of all sizes,” said Oliver Coste, Atos North America’s head of unified communications. “We’re excited to bring the innovative combination of RingCentral’s leading UCaaS product together with Atos’ deep system integrator capabilities to the United States.”

Customers can migrate at their own pace from traditional on-premises telephony systems to Unify Office by RingCentral. They can also continue to use their existing Atos Unify OpenScape CP Desk phones with Unify Office.

In Fidem Acquisition

In Fidem is a Canada-based cybersecurity consulting firm. Atos said the acquisition positions it as the No. 3 worldwide cybersecurity services leader. Furthermore, it enhances its North America cybersecurity services capabilities by bringing experienced consultants to the Atos team.

The acquisition should close this quarter.

“The acquisition will extend opportunities for Atos’ partners further into the Canadian market,” he said. “In Fidem has a solid long-term customer base. And the Atos digital security portfolio, including our partner ecosystem, will complement perfectly with In Fidem offerings.”

In Fidem has expertise in cloud security, digital identity, risk management, security operations, digital forensics and cyber breach response. It is a leading player in the Canadian market and has a proven track-record of addressing large private and public organizations’ digital security challenges.

In Fidem will bring its network of more than 100 skilled specialists to the Atos cybersecurity team.

“We have always been very clear about our acquisition strategy in the digital security space,” Sandrini said. “And extending our footprint in the Canadian market has been a priority by our North American operation. After reviewing the market, we were convinced that In Fidem was the perfect fit: a highly respected, pure player in cybersecurity, a strong, recognized expertise, and solid faithful customer base.”

In Fidem reinforces Atos’ North America offering in security advisory, digital forensics, incident response and digital identity, he said.

“In Fidem has strong partnerships,” Sandrini said. “Some are already Atos partners and this will just reinforce the relationships.”

Those that don’t partner with Atos will directly benefit by entering its partner network, he said.
