Blue Box Raises Additional $4M in Funding for Private Cloud as a Service. Blue Box has completed a Series B round of financing, bringing the total funding of this round to $14 million. The PCaaS solutions provider has raised a total of $23.1 million in funds since 2012.

Machine-learning GraphLab raises $18.5m and rebrands as Dato. Dato, formerly known as GraphLab, has raised $18.5 million of financing for its machine-learning platform. The company said it plans to leverage the additional funding to assist with financing expanded engineering, business-development and customer-support teams.

Seismic Raises $20M in Round Led by Software Growth Equity Fund. The cloud-based platform has raised $20 million round in Series B funding. JMI Equity, the growth equity firm that specializes in software and services, led the financing round. The company has raised a total of $24.5 million in fundng to date.

Sermo Vets Raise $10.5M for Healthcare IT Startup par8o. Paying attention to cloud-based healthcare IT startups? Par8o has raised $10.5 million in Series A financing from Atlas Venture, Founder Collective, CHV Capital and Allscripts. The additional funds will be used for this Newton, Massachusetts-based company’s healthcare IT system platform.

Welltok Raises Additional $12M, Readies for Debut With IBM’s Watson. Welltok has raised an additional $12 million from investors, closing a $37 million Series D financing round. The funding brings the company’s total financing to date $59 million. Welltok’s software is designed to assist consumers with developing personalized plans to keep them healthy.
