Optiv partners are getting a refreshed partner program that includes a tiered partner ecosystem with increased focus on prioritization and valued relationships.

Optiv announced the updated partner program at this week’s RSAC 2023. Optiv works with more than 450 partners in every major domain. That includes traditional cybersecurity technology cloud security, emerging technology/solution providers and co-innovation solutions.

Alan Mayer is Optiv‘s senior vice president of partners, alliances and ecosystems.

“Listening to feedback from our highly valued partners, we had an opportunity to refresh our partner program and move into a leadership position to drive improved outcomes,” he said. “We have moved to a data-driven, outcome-based approach designed to help Optiv and our technology partners establish more meaningful goals, provide joint accountability and grow the business in service to clients.”

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

What’s New for Optiv Partners

The refreshed program is different for Optiv partners in two ways, Mayer said. First, traditional partner alignments are more “modern” and represent the collective value of each partner relationship. And second, specialized commitments are mapped to each partner level designed to drive shared growth and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) that help clients manage cyber risk.

“Our partner program was designed to bring increased value to our partners,” he said. “We greatly value the voice of our partners. We discussed key tenants of the program with select partners starting in the fourth quarter of 2022, and have worked collaboratively and transparently with select partners as we redefined our program to drive growth for our partners, growth for Optiv and better outcomes for our clients.”

Optiv will continue to prioritize partner feedback to ensure it continues to have an “industry-leading” partner program, Mayer said.

“We are proud to partner with Optiv to offer end-to-end integrated solutions and services to clients,” said Anar Desai, Palo Alto Networks‘ vice president of Americas channel sales. “Coupling Optiv’s cyber expertise and managed security programs with our best-of-breed technologies, we’re able to solve our customers’ most complex security challenges.”
