Hola, amigos, and welcome to this week’s Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly gathering of all things channel-related. This week we’ve got news from Wedge Networks, Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) and TP-LINK, and I’m in a Mexico state of mind, so let’s don our fancy sombreros and vamonos.Wedge Networks: The unified, real-time content security and intelligence vendor for high-performance networks, launched its Reseller Channel Program for the United States. The Wedge Networks Reseller Channel Program is designed to generate new revenue opportunities for channel partners selling into the corporate enterprise, government organization and service provider markets, according to the company.
To kick off the program, Wedge Networks offering a 45-day trial with fast technology validation to its channel partners. This offering, which the company calls the Instant-On Program, provides resellers and end-user customers with access to the entire Wedge security suite, including data loss prevention, anti-virus, spam, malware and content filtering. When run as a WedgeOS VMware virtual appliance, the solution provides either a perimeter security gateway or security from the cloud as a Wedge StarGate Server.
Hewlett-Packard: The technology stalwart expanded its HP Extended Finance Program, which provides flexible financing options for partners to increase profit potential when purchasing and reselling HP products.
The HP Extended Finance Program has been expanded to include commercial Industry-standard Servers and Software SmartBuy products, making it even easier for partners to do business with HP and successfully compete in the SMB market, according to the company.
The HP Extended Finance Program allows qualified resellers to purchase HP solutions to fulfill customer orders with interest-free, 60-day repayment terms. All business is transacted through select participating distributors, and qualifying purchases automatically receive 60-day payment terms from one of the top four selected financing vendors, giving partners a choice of competitive programs.
This initiative builds upon the original HP Extended Finance Program, launched in August, which provides 60-day interest-free payment terms for qualified resellers on eligible HP Printing and Personal Systems products.
TP-LINK: The networking vendor is recognizing the devastation wrought by Hurricane Sandy, and is providing its registered VARs with free replacement and shipping for any damaged TP-LINK products as a result of the hurricane.
“TP-LINK recognizes the significant destruction and challenges many people are facing following Hurricane Sandy. As part of our continued effort to support all of our partners, we recognize many may have damaged products due to adverse storm conditions,” said Lewis Wu, director of Sales at TP-LINK USA.
The program is available from now through Dec. 1, and includes free product replacement for TP-LINK merchandise damaged as a result of the storm.
And that’s this week’s Channel Partner Program Roundup. Mosy on back next week for another roundup of channel news and happenings. Until then, bienvenidos, amigos.
