Product Review: ZaReason Breeze 3110 Running Ubuntu
- Plug it in
- Turn it on
Over the next few days, I will be testing ZaReason’s Breeze 3110 mini-tower PC. It has an Intel Atom processor and runs Ubuntu 8.04 desktop edition. I’m curious to see whether this system is truly consumer-ready. When I opened the shipping box, the included two-line directions said:
- Plug it in
- Turn it on
It sounds like the Breeze 3110 is too good to be true. But I’ll draw some clearer conclusions over the next few days.

Haha.
But atom on a desktop pc? Hmm..
I will be double-checking the specs once I get it set up. Thanks Vadim.
Thanks for making me google ZaReason because you were too lazy to hyperlink their name in the blog.
Jimbo: Try to cut us some slack. We link to ZaReason.com ALL the time. Sorry we failed to do so this one time. Hope your fingers heal soon from all that Googling.
Jimbo: You want find a more courteous group of guys than the ones that run this site, you should be glad that there are people out there getting this info to the masses.
correction: You won’t find…. a moment of bad grammar and misspelling.
Wesley: Either way, we appreciate you (and Jimbo) reading. Thanks for your thoughts.
I have been looking at ZaReason’s Breeze 3110 for a while now – I LOVE the look of that! Intel Atom on a desktop is a dream combination, in my opinion. Fast enough to run Ubuntu at high speed (I run it at good speed, including Compiz 3D, on 600Mhz on my laptop!), without using too much power. Great! And it comes with Ubuntu pre-installed. Are you getting a Ubuntu-keyboard from ZaReason as well? Am looking forward to hearing your review of this beautiful machine 🙂
“you should be glad that there are people out there getting this info to the masses”
Yeah and he should be glad I took the time out to suggest how he can improve his blog writing skills. Imagine Ars Technica not linking to the company they are writing about. It wouldn’t happen, because they are professional.
You can call me rude if you like but fact is I am right about this.
Just so you lot can all feel less upset about it, here is a nicely worded version.
“Hey man, I love this blog, but here’s a quick tip, please link to the company in question as it saves me from Camp;P it into google. Thanks. Keep up the good work.”
Happy now? 😉
Jimbo: I’m happy now, ha ha 🙂
