Peak 10 Adds Hosted Private Cloud

PRESS RELEASE – CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 14, 2015) – National IT infrastructure and cloud services provider, Peak 10, Inc., today announced the latest addition to its cloud service portfolio — the Peak 10 Hosted Private Cloud. The Peak 10 Hosted Private Cloud is a high-performance, off-premise private cloud designed with dedicated compute and storage resources to support organizations’ specific requirements. Customers choose compute and storage, and have the option to layer on managed services, including cloud server management, data protection and security. Self-service tools are available via the Peak 10 customer portal.

According to Monty Blight, vice president of sales operations and product strategy at Peak 10, the new hosted private cloud offering gives customers increased control over their cloud environment.

The new service was developed to meet increasing market demand. In Peak 10’s Brand Tracking Study published earlier this year, a majority of the IT decision makers surveyed said they use or plan to use private cloud to power all or a portion of their IT strategy.  Many highlighted the hybrid form of the infrastructure as a service (IaaS) cloud model as their future direction.

“Our Hosted Private Cloud will meet the needs of a wide range of organizations, from those making their first foray into a cloud environment to public cloud users that have unique requirements not served by a shared cloud infrastructure,” Blight explains. “There is no hardware to buy. Peak 10 owns and manages the underlying infrastructure, and handles all tasks such as refresh cycles, hardware updates and storage updates.”

What distinguishes this offering is that the compute and storage layers are completely dedicated in a single-tenant environment. Peak 10’s Hosted Private Cloud is purpose-built solely for each organization. Privacy is maximized, and the potential for bottlenecks minimized.

The Peak 10 Hosted Private Cloud is built on an enterprise-class infrastructure utilizing high availability design to ensure throughput and processing speed suitable for demanding production environments and high I/O applications. It is powered by Peak 10’s world-class data centers, which offer the essential redundancies, efficiencies and leading-edge technologies and equipment to deliver maximum availability, backed by a service level agreement (SLA).

In addition, the Peak 10 Hosted Private Cloud can be easily integrated into a hybrid IT strategy utilizing Peak 10’s customer portal and self-service tools.

“The Hosted Private Cloud fills out Peak 10’s infrastructure as a service portfolio, which also includes colocation for either physical servers or an internal private cloud, and multi-tenant cloud and disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) solutions,” Blight adds.

Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., Peak 10 owns and operates 26 data centers in key U.S. markets and serves a diverse range of customers in the U.S. and abroad.  To learn more, visit www.peak10.com.
