Colotraq on Friday unveiled DCITRAQ, its new cloud-based software for the sourcing of data-center infrastructure services.

The license-free software will allow agents and clients to research, compare and purchase colocation, managed hosting and cloud services through Colotraq’s network of more than 400 service providers in nearly every global market. This includes more than 200 enterprise cloud providers and access to more than 3,000 colocation/managed hosting facilities.

Dany Bouchedid, Colotraq’s founder and CEO, tells Channel Partners that DCITRAQ will empower agents to have “full access to all of the same sales tools and deal-registration capabilities that we have historically only kept in-house.”

“This will allow you to learn all about our vendor’s products and services and be able to register deals and correspond directly with them should you not want us involved, which will further streamline the sales process and remove potential bottlenecks,” he said. “Of course, you can always choose to engage us to assist you at any point in the sale cycle as you have in the past.”

The software also has data mining and reporting capabilities that allow users to see all of their project history, all communications on a particular deal, historical revenue and agent commission information through full integration with Colotraq’s cloud-based accounting platform, as well as an array of real time metrics.

Beyond its exterior, DCITRAQ incorporates an algorithm that matches a client’s project requirements to the offerings and capabilities that vendors have specified in the system. A user then will be be able to launch a comparison chart highlighting the matching vendors’ capabilities and offerings to “further streamline and simplify the sourcing process,” according to Colotraq.

“As an additional feature of educating and empowering our clients on the various service offerings of our vendors, the software will have a fully integrated center of intelligence (COI) that will allow clients and agents to view all sorts of content such as sales and marketing collateral, white papers, events, promotions among other content that our vendors upload,” said Lou Peccoralo, Colotraq’s chief operating officer.

With an integrated CRM platform that agents can use as their own, DCITRAQ will allow all communication on deals to happen through the system, allowing for better management of a client’s project throughout its life cycle, the company said.

Colotraq will continue to provide client consultation and management of the projects, as well as all the associated back-office support.

Colotraq’s agent partners also can private brand DCITRAQ as their own and push it down channel to their subagents as well as their clients. The company is planning to roll out further software enhancements and features during the next several months.
