Software and cloud-based services provider Wowza Media Systems on Tuesday announced its new partner program..

The Premier Channel Partner Program recognizes Wowza’s top-producing resellers and distributors, and further invests in those that have shown “deep commitment” to the company. Founded in 2005, the Wowza has more than 15,000 customers in more than 170 countries and across all industries.

Carlos Perez, Wowza’s chief revenue officer, tells Channel Partners that its partners include more than 280 global resellers and distributors, and through that network, they have access to more than 3,000 selling resources.

“The Premier Channel Program is designed to both reward those partners who have shown continued commitment to Wowza, as well as attract new partners who would like to work with a company who invests in them,” he said.

Wowza’s global partner community has been an integral part of the company’s success, said David Stubenvoll, its CEO and co-founder.

“We make it easy for partners to deliver Wowza solutions and provide the support they need to be as successful as possible,” he said. “This program is a testament to our dedication to invest in our channel partners.”

Participation in the program is earned, and requires engagement, investment and a commitment to continued growth. In return, participants receive commercial benefits including quarterly sales workshops, technical support, participation in joint marketing, access to partner-specific resources, increased margin incentives and more.

“We incorporated both our direct-selling experience and feedback from our current channel partners to focus on and invest in the value add elements of the program,” Perez said. “As a part of the program setup, we determined certain financial and geographic parameters to ascertain who would best fit the program. From there, we additionally aligned our internal resources in order to provide enhanced support for the Premier Channel Partners.”

Commercial partnerships are among the fastest growing areas of Wowza’s business, and channel and partner programs reflect the “incredible opportunity presented by today’s global market when it comes to live video and audio streaming,” he said.

“From our many Tech Alliance affiliations, to our fully integrated Works With Wowza relationships, to our global network of channel partners, Wowza is committed to and continually invests in our ever-growing partnership community,” Perez said. “This program supports that goal and ensures that our channel partners will be able to maximize co-selling opportunities and help our customers and their businesses to thrive.”
