Stellar Cyber has launched InterStellar, its first partner program for resellers and distributors.

InterStellar enables reseller partners to become proficient with the company‘s Open extended detection and Response (XDR) solution. Stellar Cyber already has a JumpStart program for MSSPs.

The new program’s five-star and star levels reward partners with market development funds (MDFs), lead sharing, SPIFF programs and a partner portal. The portal offers a library of collateral, sales tools, campaign ideas and more.

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

The five-star level is for partners that engage more deeply with Stellar Cyber and its Open XDR platform. It addition, it offers additional benefits, including:

  • Access to sales development representative (SDR) resources to pursue target accounts.

  • An enablement team.

  • A branded cybersecurity academy for Open XDR training and certification.

  • Participation in the Stellar Cyber University partnership program.

  • Participation in the Stellar Cyber TalentHub program.

  • Access to a network of MSSPs for fully and/or co-managed security services.

Any Stellar Cyber partner can achieve five-star certification.

Stellar Cyber Drawing Interest from Resellers

Randy Johnston is the company‘s vice president of channels.

“We saw a lot of resellers keen on new ideas,” he said. “Gartner, for example, touted tool consolidation as a means for working through current challenges in the cybersecurity industry — too many tools, not enough people and too much data. XDR takes on the idea of processing data more efficiently. And Open XDR enables customers to use the tools they have. So the timing was right to help resellers see how Open XDR can help them in a difficult year.”

Partners helped Stellar Cyber develop the idea of having two tiers for the program, Johnston said. And the benefits of each tier are clearly written out to keep things simple.

“The idea of the program is to enable companies with a larger security investment to augment those investments with an open API-driven model (Open XDR),” he said. “And partners that do not have a security practice can now easily develop one.”

Jeff Kremer is manager of business development/partner management at Pomeroy, a Steller Cyber partner.

“We are thrilled about being a five-star InterStellar partner as we aggressively move into cybersecurity services and Open XDR,” he said. “The program helps train our people and ensures that we offer real value to our customer base, which in turn means we are seeing faster ROI. This is why we will be winning new business with Stellar Cyber in 2023.”
