Lacework Launches Enhanced Partner Program For Cloud Security Growth

  • Written by Edward Gately
  • February 3, 2022
There's a huge opportunity for disruption in the cloud security market.

Lacework, the cloud security company, has enhanced its partner program for cloud service providers, alliance partners and the channel.

The new Lacework Partner Program will help simplify how partners can work with Lacework to uncover new revenue opportunities. Lacework’s Polygraph data platform helps automatically uncover suspicious activity across multicloud environments. Organizations can address threats and risks to their business from build time through run time.

The program provides dedicated technical enablement, joint marketing resources and a go-to-market (GTM) framework across three new tiered program levels. Partner program levels determine a partner’s access to a spectrum of benefits. Those include dedicated channel managers, MDF program dollars, spiff eligibility, training and technical content, and more.

Lacework has also established a partner advisory board to help ensure the company is meeting its partners’ strategic needs. Partners can choose the investment that works for their business and grow with Lacework over time.

‘Huge Opportunity’ For Cloud Security Market Disruption

Andy Byron is Lacework‘s president.

“Companies are moving more workloads to the cloud to take advantage of the scalability and flexibility it offers,” he said. “At the same time, they’re facing an ever-changing and rapidly increasing set of attacks squarely targeting cloud adoption. Customers are seeking security solutions that help them manage the scale and complexity of their cloud environments and guard against threats such as ransomware and zero-day vulnerabilities. As these threats become more sophisticated, they expose gaps in security tools and approaches that have been lifted and shifted into the cloud, creating a huge opportunity for disruption in the cloud security market.”

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

Lacework’s data-driven approach is well-suited to capitalize on this opportunity, Byron said.

“In order to do that, we need a robust ecosystem of partners growing alongside us, which is why we made a commitment to them with the Lacework partner program,” he said.

Through technology integrations with partners, Lacework is making it easier for customers to integrate security practices deeper in the development process. It will also enable Lacework to better support customers with multicloud environments through partnerships with AWS and now Google Cloud. That makes it easier to purchase Lacework through the cloud providers’ respective marketplaces, the company said. The companies will also integrate co-selling and co-building activities.

Partner Feedback Incorporated in New Partner Program

Throughout the last year, Lacework met with many of its partners weekly to integrate their feedback as it developed go-to-market plans which formed the basis of this program, Byron said.

“Through this process, we’ve learned how we should and can work best with our partners, and what tools they need to be successful with Lacework,” he said. “We believe the Lacework Partner Program is a solid reflection of what our partners told us works for them now and in the future as we continue to grow our partnerships.”

One of the biggest pain points for channel partners is addressing customer concerns, Byron said.

“And this program helps them do so by allowing them to more easily offer our data-driven automated platform,” he said. “As mentioned, we developed this program with our partners, integrating their feedback along the way, so it also addresses day-to-day concerns like technical enablement, MDF and other GTM activities.”

More Partners Coming to Program

Lacework will continue to add global partners. Channel partners include Presidio, Trace3, Optiv, GuidePoint Security, Expel and more. Technology partners include Snowflake, New Relic, Tines and Atlassian.

Wipro is a global technology service provider partner. And cloud service providers include AWS, Microsoft Azure, Red Hat and Google.

Jon Jensen is Presidio‘s vice president of cybersecurity sales.

“We are excited to partner with Lacework as they further their investment in their partner ecosystem,” he said. “The Lacework Polygraph Data Platform provides best-of-breed cloud security tools we recommend to our clients to improve upon their cloud security posture, secure critical workloads and accelerate digital transformation.”
