PerimeterX, the application security provider, on Tuesday rolled out its first formal partner program for resellers, service providers and SIs, as well as marketplace and technology companies.

The PerimeterX Partner Program provides access to web application security services. These address a variety of automated attacks and client-side threats.

The cloud-native PerimeterX platform helps solution providers address this evolving threat landscape as their customers go digital.

Founding members include Adobe, AWS, Fishtech Group, Google, Microsoft, Okta, Optiv, Salesforce and more.

David Brown is PerimeterX‘s chief revenue officer.

“With this announcement, we are formalizing and standardizing our approach to partners,” he said. “We have standardized terms and conditions, and are offering new benefits to partners, including sales support, training certifications and go-to-market planning.”

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

Two things prompted the new program, Brown said. First, there’s a big and rapidly growing market for PerimeterX’s app security offers, he said.

“This is of interest to partners and gives them a chance to grow their business profitably,” he said. “Second, with the pandemic, businesses are accelerating their digital transformation plans and moving from on-prem to cloud solutions.”

Program Benefits

The program offers opportunities for partners to increase their revenue. They can offer their customers a “complete and differentiated” web application security solution.

“Partner input was key throughout the process of building the program,” Brown said. “PerimeterX director of channels Bruce Holbert and I have a long history of working with partners. And [we] brought that history and input from those relationships to the table. Existing and new partners were clear they wanted easy to understand requirements and a repeatable profitability model in order to let them focus on their clients’ needs. We incorporated this thinking into the program, and will continue focusing on meeting the needs of partners and their customers.”

The program makes it easier for partners to do business with PerimeterX, he said.

“It’s estimated that bot-driven account takeover (ATO) attacks result in $5 billion in losses annually,” said Chuck Crawford, Fishtech‘s co-founder and chief customer officer. “As a PerimeterX solution provider partner, adding the PerimeterX platform to our portfolio helps us reduce our customers’ risk of attack and protect their revenue.”
