nGenx Debuts nFinity Drive 2.0 for nWorkspace Platform

Cloud services provider nGenx unveiled the second iteration of its nFinity Drive file sync and share solution on Tuesday, which features a host of new capabilities to help users easily access corporate files.

With nFinity Drive 2.0, nGenx has addressed several of the largest customer complaints with the previous version, including the lack of native support for nWorkspace, the company’s Workspace as a Service offering. With the first version of nFinity Drive, users had to log into a separate application when synchronizing files for offline use, which caused frustration.

With 2.0, nGenx has redesigned nFinity Drive as a native solution built into the stack, so users have a more seamless experience when syncing files offline, according to JD Helms, president of nGenx.

“The previous version worked, [but] it just wasn’t what the customer base or the users were looking for from a user experience,” said Helms in an interview with Talkin’ Cloud. “The fact that you don’t have to think about logging into a different app or managing a separate program just to manage your offline file sync is a pretty big difference from the user’s perspective.”

Like the initial offering, users nFinity Drive users can securely share and access files via the nFinity app, but the new version includes a redesigned administrator dashboard with detailed reporting capabilities and control to protect sensitive information. The solution is compatible with Windows, OSX, iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices and also features remote wiping capabilities to prevent data loss.

“The people who were using the first version [of nFinity Drive] are thrilled to be off of it,” said Helms. “It was just not a good user experience.”

nFinity Drive 2.0 is available immediately through nGenx’ worldwide partner ecosystem and is priced at $9.99 per month. As a native application, the offering is only available to nWorkspace users. All current nFinity Drive users can download the new version free of charge.
