Tamr Begins Partner Program for Big Data Resellers

Tamr has a partner program to help enterprise customers adopt scalable data integration and unification into their operations, the company announced this week.

The analytics and Big Data firm has already secured partnership deals with eight companies, including Cloudera, Hortonworks, MicroStrategy, Qlik, Recorded Future, Statwing, Tableau Software and Zoomdata. The company said its data connection platform will help partners reduce the time and effort needed to connect multiple data sources to achieve a unified siloed enterprise data, meaning users can centralize their data into a single location for easy analysis.

“Forming partnerships is a foundation of our strategy,” said Kevin Burke, business development lead for Tamr, in a statement. “Our platform is open and our output can be consumed by systems such as data analytics software, visualization software, data warehouses and data lakes. Partners’ customers get more data and richer data in a timely manner, to help them achieve their Big Data analytics goals. In forming partnerships, we’re creative, flexible and very low-overhead.”

Tamr currently works with three kinds of partners: complementary technology partners, service integrators and OEM partners. The company is working to bring awareness to its new partner program through several webinars and conferences beginning later this month.

Tamr is looking to fill a narrow gap in the Big Data analytics technology stack with the beginning of its new program, as a way to give resellers a way to deliver Big Data analytics faster to their customers, according to the press release. A more structured selling platform could be a major boon for enterprises in the Big Data space, providing a singular source for training, sales tools and marketing aid akin to the programs available to other hardware and software-as-a-service VARs.
