Microsoft Names Gavriella Schuster CVP of Worldwide Partner Group

Microsoft (MSFT) has officially named Gavriella Schuster Corporate Vice President for Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Group (WPG) on Thursday, less than two months after the company announced that she would replace Phil Sorgen, who stepped down last month to take a new role as corporate vice president of the U.S. Enterprise and Partner Group, on an interim basis.

When Sorgen announced his departure, Microsoft said that Schuster would serve in the role in the interim, but it appears she will now serve in that role permanently with this announcement.

“There has never been a more exciting time to help our partners capitalize on the explosive demand for cloud services,” Schuster said in a statement. “Our partners are vital in helping us deliver on our promise to customers, and I’m deeply committed to helping them build successful businesses in support of our mutual customers.”

Schuster has worked at Microsoft for two decades, involved in various areas including the successful management and deployment of program and product initiatives as well as licensing, pricing and go-to-market strategies, according to Microsoft. During her tenure at Microsoft Schuster has led sales and marketing teams across the Server and Cloud business, Windows Client Commercial Business, Enterprise Services, and more.

Talkin’ Cloud will be at WPC 2016 next month so be sure to stay tuned for our coverage, including Schuster’s keynote address.
