Distribution giant Ingram Micro is enhancing its cloud marketplace around Microsoft Azure and the software giant’s New Commerce Experience (NCE).

As a result, Ingram Micro channel partners get a slew of new features. They include real-time visibility into Azure billing and new Microsoft NCE billing configurations that simplify and speed subscription management.

Specifically, the Azure usage billing reports aim to save partners time on reconciling billing. This happens via accurate cost visibility, self-run periodic reports and real-time billion projection. Furthermore, new and soon-to-come NCE billing configurations make it easier for partners to schedule, co-term and automate subscriptions. Finally, advanced NCE automation features bring real-time, on-demand visibility to NCE promotions. That way, partners can activate new business faster and streamline purchasing. Ultimately, the goal is to deliver a better experience to their teams and customers.

“With these new and expanding Microsoft-centric capabilities and integrations, we are giving our channel partners what they asked for — solving for complexity by enabling them to work within the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace to land, manage and expand their Microsoft business faster and easier,” said Baez. “They asked, and we listened and took action to make it work.”

New Commerce Experience

Microsoft’s New Commerce Experience is the company’s new subscription, per-seat model. The model, which launched in 2019 with Azure, recently expanded for customers that use Office 365, Microsoft 365, Windows 365, the Power Platform and Dynamics 365.

Boris Stankovic is general manager, Rodin Business Solutions, Australia, an Ingram Micro partner.

“With the help and support of Ingram Micro, we have been able to expand our Microsoft 365 business as well as assist customers in implementing Microsoft business and collaboration solutions in their environments,” said Stankovic. “The close relationship we have with Ingram Micro has made a major impact on our yearly sales growth in addition to giving us tools and opportunity to onboard large-scaled projects.”

Ingram Micro serves nearly 25,000 partners in more than 30 countries.
