Israeli cloud-based security solutions provider Sentrix on Wednesday announced it has secured more than $6 million in financing to continue with development of its website security solutions. The company also announced it has opened its first office in North America.
Magma Venture Partners led the venture funding round with participation from Cedar Fund, Israel’s Chief Scientist program and Sentrix board members. The firm, founded in 2011 as Foresight-Air, said the additional funds will be used to protect organizations from the evolving security landscape.
Sentrix CEO Ofer Wolf in a statement said the company is attracting customers in the financial services, telecomm, education, government, manufacturing and other sectors.
“Our customers use Sentrix to protect their websites against the entire range of Web Application attacks, and benefit from dramatic improvements in website security and management simplicity,” he said.
Sentrix co-founder Israel Barak has already moved into the Boston-area to begin managing the company’s expansion into the United states. The firm’s new office is located in Waltham, Massachusetts.
