For Switchfast Technologies that niche started in Chicago, where the company began handling IT infrastructures for non-profits, from setup to support, in 2001. Fast forward to the present and Switchfast has landed on the Inc. 5000 — which ranks the fastest-growing private U.S. companies — five years in a row.Switchfast’s goal is to help SMBs and non-profits get the most out of their technology. To that end, Switchfast IT consultants work with each client individually to create a “technology roadmap” — a plan that focuses on three core areas: functionality, reliability and budget-consciousness. The company offers unlimited monitoring and support of that roadmap at a flat fee.
But Switchfast has also pushed beyond its original niche. The company now offers IT consulting, VoIP and telecom, webdesign and SEO, software solutions and marketing services across Chicago; Rochester, N.Y.; and Washington, D.C. Switchfast has become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Microsoft Small Business Specialist, Apple Authorized Service Provider and ShorTel Authorized Champion Partner throughout its decade of existence. More recently, annual revenues have grown from $3.2 million in 2007 to $3.9 million in 2010.
