Barracuda Networks Unveils MSP Partner Program

Barracuda Networks (CUDA) is extending its Barracuda NG Firewall and Barracuda Backup partner offerings to managed service providers (MSPs) with a revamped channel partner program. Here's everything you need to know.

Barracuda Networks (CUDA) is extending its Barracuda NG Firewall and Barracuda Backup partner offerings to managed service providers (MSPs) by enabling them to transition customers from on-premise to cloud security and storage solutions.

The cloud security and storage solutions company said it has revamped its channel partner program to enable MSPs to offer Barracuda NG Firewall and Barracuda Backup, which opens up new revenue opportunities for service providers and other channel partners that deliver managed security and storage services to customers.

Chris Meyer, Barracuda’s director of channel development, told MSPmentor this program allows MSPs to “manage a growing and changing customer base.

“We see resellers changing their persona from resellers to systems integrators, security consulting services and managed service providers,” Meyer noted. “The new Barracuda partner program includes a managed service program that will apply to many Barracuda solutions but will start with Barracuda Backup and Barracuda NG Firewall because that’s where we see the most demand.”

Also, Barracuda’s new channel partner program features:

  • Additional partner level (Premier) and adjusted revenue and training requirements at all levels

  • Increased purchase limit for Barracuda products and services

  • The ability for partners to register up to four times as many Barracuda solutions, with increased product discounts to reward partner-generated opportunities

  • Training available through Barracuda University

Michael Hughes, Barracuda’s senior vice president of worldwide sales, added that his company remains focused on helping its channel partners “solve security and storage challenges for customers.”

Barracuda said channel partners must qualify and be approved to provide managed services, and partners in good standing will be officially enrolled in new levels.
