Centrify Named First IDaaS Vendor to Support Google for Work

Enterprise cybersecurity solution provider Centrify has teamed with Google (GOOG) to provide identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) solutions for the company’s Android for Work platform.

The announcement makes Centrify one of the first IDaaS providers to work with Google on the delivery of integrated identity and mobile management for Android for Work.

Centrify is also boosting its involvement with Google’s other platforms by providing single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Chromebooks. Shared account password management and auditing of privileged users for Google Compute Engine’s virtual servers and enhanced user provisioning for Google Apps round out the company’s latest collaboration with Google, according to the announcement.

With the addition of its new security solutions, Centrify said IT administrators can tackle the increasing need for stronger and smarter security measures by protecting their cloud-based assets. The new solutions cement Centrify as the largest provider of third-party identity management capabilities on the Google Apps for Work platform, according to the company. 

“Centrify protects against the leading point of attack used in data breaches—compromised credentials,” said Tom Kemp, CEO of Centrify, in a statement. “Centrify’s identity platform can help companies enable Android for Work, as well as Google’s other cloud and mobile technologies for the enterprise, by providing security and management across users, apps, devices and infrastructure.”
