Commvault is merging its APJ and EMEA sales organizations into one to create Commvault International.

The new organization will be led by former EMEA head, Marco Fanizzi. His new job title will be SVP and GM for Commvault International.

“Commvault is building for the future, by focusing on the ability to scale and accelerate our growth globally,” the company said. “To enable this, Commvault has fully integrated our APJ and EMEA sales organizations to create a two-region global structure comprised of ‘Americas’ and the newly formed ‘International’ region.”

Commvault International will comprise more than 150 national markets. The company said it will “continue to deliver world-class support to all customers and partners consistently across all of those countries.”

All regions will continue to be represented directly to regional management level as before.

Commvault’s Riccardo DiBlasio

Riccardo Di Blasio is chief revenue officer at Commvault. He said that operating in a competitive industry, “this approach will extend our success and drive global growth by focusing and increasing investment in high potential markets. We are entirely focused on supporting our customers and partners, by continuing to deliver world-class support to all our end users across the world.”

Representing Diversity

Di Blasio noted that geopolitical and economic events still challenge the global economy. However, “we can be assured that data management, protection and utilisation will only become more business critical for every organisation anywhere in the world.”

The threat of ransomware attacks is recognised as a US national security priority with the recent Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act. It is also a priority for every national government.

In response, Commvault said it “is building flexibility to retain the consistent, repeatable growth it has seen from the APJ and EMEA regions.”

“Our success as this integrated, international region will be built on celebrating, and equally representing the incredible diversity within our organisation, but based on the clear fact that each of our teams already share more similarities than differences — especially in terms of proven business success and best practices,” said Fanizzi.

Commvault said it was currently unable to discuss any changes partners may expect from the new organization.
