Former Cisco Executive Joins Connectloud as President and CEO

There's not much to tell yet about Connectloud, a software startup currently in stealth mode, but from its growing list of advisors and now an appointment of former Cisco Systems (CSCO) senior executive Zeeshan Naseh as president and CEO, it looks as though the company is expecting big things once it officially launches.
Although Connectloud is being hush-hush on exactly what will be doing upon launch, its logo suggests a cloud focus. With the appointment of Naseh as head honcho, it seems likely SaaS will be in the company's future, as Naseh was most recently the director of Services as Cisco. Additionally, Naseh was a key figure in the construction of Cisco's cloud services business "from whiteboard to global field launch." During his tenure, he built the fledgling business from the ground up to $1 billion in revenue.
Of course, the next step for the new startup leader is to get the company to the point of launch and then get it going and starting bringing in revenue. That's never an easy task with a startup business, and it's a business phase that can easily last three to five years.
"I see an amazing future where C-level executives will finally get what they have been asking for —the seamless ability to drive accelerated business growth via IT, anywhere," Naseh said in a prepared statement. It seems that's the biggest hint we're going to get about Connectloud's modus operandi.
At the same time Naseh was announced as president and CEO, Connectloud also noted several technology and business veterans have joined its board of advisors, including Ken Morse, founding managing director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, and Stanford University professor and entrepreneur Ryan Orr. Also backing the company is M.A. Ashraf, head of the Corporate Banking Group at Abu Dhabi Bank. Ashraf is also a member of Connectloud's board of advisors.
