ManageEngine Adds Hyper-V Support to Application Manager
If you’re looking for that elusive multivendor virtualization support, ManageEngine might have the solution for you. The company is now providing Hyper-V support for its Applications Manager monitoring solution. Ashish Kuriakose, communications manager at ManageEngine, and Arun Balachandran, marketing manager of APM solutions at ManageEngine, provided the details …
If you’re in camp Microsoft, rejoice. The ability to monitor Microsoft Hyper-V servers are now part of ManageEngine Applications Manager. It’s all part of the company’s efforts to make virtualized environments easier for the IT staff, starting with VMWare monitoring in 2010.
IT admins now have the ability to check out network and performance stats of their Hyper-V servers, along with the virtual machines configured within. Easier troubleshooting along with tracking metrics can help IT admins allocate resources and provides tracking for SLA compliance.
So what’s the price tag? A fully functional 30-day trial can be downloaded from ManageEngine’s site. The purchase price is $1,590 for the Professional Edition with Hyper-V Monitor.
And what about the channel? Both Kuriakose and Balachandran noted that while there are no specific channel initiatives around this release, they’re always happy to hear from ManageEngine’s partner community. They did point out that MSPs can integrate this feature into their systems, specifically with ManageEngine’s IT 360 offering.
