HP Launches New Zero Client t200 Aimed at SMB Environments

HP is pushing out yet another thin client. This time it’s the all-new t200 zero client, specifically designed for the SMB market. What can it bring to your virtualization portfolio? Tech specs and details follow …

The t200 has been designed for use in a 15-seat computing environment, with one simple desktop server running the show. The t200 is part of HP’s MulitSeat solutions and is uniquely designed for training centers, educational settings and even small medical practices. HP boasts “out-of-the-box productivity” with the device, since it’s easy to set up, is fully licensed by Microsoft for MultiPoint Server 2011 and “slightly larger than a deck of cards.” HP’s svelte zero client has a similar price tag — a mere $99 — and it comes complete with HP’s “comprehensive solution support.” Virtualization VARs can get their hands on it come November 2011.

As the virtualization wars heat up, don’t forget that HP’s biggest virtualization rival is Wyse, which offers its own ever-growing swath of zero client solutions. Check them out here, or check out HP’s portfolio here.
