AppSense And M7 Ink Virtualization Deal
M7 Global Partners Inc. has agreed to distribute AppSense’s services to M7’s existing customer base. AppSense is known for their “user virtualization technology” for a more streamlined non-profiled approach to personalized desktops, while M7 calls itself a “consortium” of IT consultants who specialize in virtualization and data centers. Read on on for the quick details on how this joint-venture works…
According to an official statement, M7 was vying for a solution like AppSense because they’re constantly looking to cover all the bases when it comes to virtualization. AppSense gets their back scratched too, with an a M7 providing a reputation of 3,000 happy clients along with 200 M7 consultants who will be shopping AppSense around to enterprises across the world.
The partnership comes at an opportune time as cloud computing takes off, and virtualization becomes a key play in the enterprise space. I think AppSense’s user-virtualization approach is something to keep an eye on. As large-scale virtualization operations get deployed, user-specific VMs may start to become bulky, or resource intensive.
