TBI just announced two additions to its channel team.
The master agent hired Jaime Ponce as a channel manager for agents in the eastern U.S.
“I am very excited to welcome Jaime Ponce to the TBI team,” said Boe Mellor, TBI’s director of sales. “Jaime will be supporting our partners in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and delivering the ‘White Glove’ partner experience to them.”
Ponce most recently worked as a channel manager out of New York City for Guidance Software, but previously worked for HP and IBM in the same position.
TBI says Ponce has experience building relationships with customers, partners and system integrators.
“I am looking forward to starting my next chapter at TBI and to leveraging all the top-notch resources available to support our partners,” Ponce said.
The master agent also hired Steve Johnson as national referral channel manager. He’ll oversee partners in the western U.S. while targeting specific verticals across the country.
“We are very excited to bring Steve Johnson on board to further bolster the growth of TBI’s National Referral Program. Steve’s industry background, track record of success and deep relationships will allow him to contribute immediately to our growth,” said Bill Vander Vennet, TBI’s national referral program director.
Johnson most recently served as vice president of business development of Via TV, a company that stemmed from a business he founded in 2011. He also worked for eight years at CenturyLink (formerly Qwest), finishing as a new business development manager.
“I am ready to take on the new challenge of working for TBI,” Johnson said. “I am excited to bring in previous relationships to a growing company that is partner-focused and in true growth mode.”
TBI hired a channel manager for the Southwest region last month.
