Green House Data Buys Deliveron, Enhances DevOps, Azure Chops

Green House added another acquisition to its resume.

Green House Data is buying Deliveron, a DevOps company.

Green House says the acquisition furthers its “DevOps enablement, cloud migration and modern app development capabilities.” With the acquisition, Green House adds new staff and capabilities that improve its ability to refactor applications around clouds such as Microsoft Azure.

“Offering DevOps practices and development capabilities alongside cloud ecosystem and infrastructure management is key to helping organizations develop to scale, and adding Deliveron’s team and capabilities further cements our ability to help enterprise and midmarket organizations overcome truly diverse IT challenges,” Green House CEO Shawn Mills said.

Green House cited the increased complexity and speed the “digital transformation journey” now requires as a factor behind the purchase.

“This acquisition rounds out our vision of serving organizations from the bottom to the top of the stack, from their underlying infrastructure through the application layer,” said Thomas Burns, chief technology officer of Green House Data. “Enterprise applications are never truly ‘lift-and-shift’ to the cloud. We are now better situated to provide the agile methodology required to architect across hyperscale clouds, private clouds, and on-premises assets.”

The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement.

The 12-year-old Green House bills itself as a colocation and hosted cloud provider. It’s a Microsoft Gold Partner and an Azure Expert MSP, and Deliveron is a Microsoft Managed Partner.

“We believe that our delivery model, which provides customers a high-performing Agile team as a service, can now grow and scale to help empower more customers to successfully deliver on their digital-transformation journey,” said John Weland, co-founder, Deliveron. “This will be one of many differentiating capabilities that we can offer as a combined organization that will drive meaningful change with our customers and their teams.”

Green House has tallied more than its fair share of acquisitions in the last three years. It bought two infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) providers in Atlanta-based Cirracore and Denver-based Ajubeo. It also bought disaster recovery provider Assuritive that year, and the next year purchased Toronto-based Microsoft Azure specialist, Infront. Green House announced last fall that it had scaled its operations to include international, including Costa Rica and Sri Lanka.

We are excited to join a rapidly growing IT service provider to help clients reach their goals around data center modernization, workload migration, and agile DevOps processes.”

David Neely, Green House’s VP of channel, told our Edward Gately last year that he hoped to grow more relationships in the partner community, including with master agents, MSPs and resellers.

“I want to get Green House Data deeper and wider within the channel partner community, connect all our account executives to the key partners within their geography, and most importantly I simply want to help agents make more money with Green House Data through our ability to provide platform-agnostic managed services across industries and verticals for a hands-on infrastructure management to support end customer’s growth,” he said.
