Green House Data has completed its third acquisition of this year with Assuritive, a disaster-recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) provider that developed intellectual property around secure disaster recovery.

Green House continues to expand with a focus on disaster recovery, private cloud and managed services. It expanded to Atlanta and Dallas after acquiring Cirracore in April, and launched into Denver after acquiring Ajubeo last month.

Assuritive’s customer list mostly includes brands in compliance-driven industries, like health care and financial services.

Thomas Burns, Green House’s vice president of business development, tells Channel Partners the acquisition is part of his company’s strategic expansion and product development.

“DRaaS is a product category that has seen robust growth for Green House Data, and we’ve also seen cost-effective DRaaS acting as an on-ramp to a full transition to the cloud,” he said. “There is a real opportunity here for channel partners who are working with their clients on cloud transformation initiatives.”

Assuritive was founded by a team of technology entrepreneurs with backgrounds in large-scale SaaS deployments, replication as a service (RaaS) and software product development who saw a market opportunity to engineer a DRaaS offering around compliance. Key features include instant point-in-time recovery, and testing of upgrades in a replicated environment prior to production deployment.

In order to minimize disruption to customers, Green House started working on integration in advance of the announcement, Burns said. Technical integration is nearing completion, and over the next week, rebranding should be finished, he said.

“Assuritive’s focus has always been on serving our customers from both a product and support perspective,” said Lee Pearson, Assuritive’s CEO. “Also, many of our customers are using DRaaS as a first step in moving to a hybrid cloud (infrastructure on premises as well as in the cloud). Combining with Green House Data expands the resources and options available to our customers as they make this move and continues the high-touch support and service that brought them to Assuritive in the first place. We couldn’t be happier with the team at Green House Data, so it’s been a great move for everybody.”
