RingCentral has signed a well-known Avaya partner to its channel program.

Altura Communication Solutions joined the UCaaS provider’s program and will sell the vendor’s cloud communications and contact center services. Altura is a diamond business partner with Avaya, which recently signed a large strategic agreement with RingCentral.

Altura president and CEO Bob Blazek said RingCentral’s communications platform will help customers undergo cloud migration.

“As today’s workforce becomes more mobile and distributed, our customers are demanding solutions that allow their employees to communicate and collaborate seamlessly, wherever they are located so they can remain productive,” Blazek said.

Zane Long, RingCentral’s senior vice president of global channel sales, said his organization works to fine-tune partner enablement and drive “harmony between our partners and our direct sales teams.” The vendor boasts a model that allows partners to earn 100% compensation while utilizing RingCentral subject-matter experts.

“Our primary focus at RingCentral is addressing the needs of businesses as they look to enable their mobile and distributed workforces to be more connected and productive,” Long told Channel Partners. “Our channel strategy is a huge part of how we do that, as partners are the strategic consultants to their business customers. We partner with leading master agents, partners and distributors who are looking to add UCaaS and CCaaS to their portfolios and help their customers transition to cloud solutions to realize greater business outcomes.”

Fullerton, California-based Altura’s verticals include health care, government, and education.

We recently compiled a list of 20 top UCaaS providers offering products and services via channel partners.

“Altura has a strong network of enterprise customers looking for cloud-first, company-wide communications solutions,” Long said. “Together we will help businesses of all sizes realize the benefits of a comprehensive, reliable cloud communications platform that enables them to scale globally and communicate effortlessly.”

The signing comes just before RingCentral and Avaya officially out the new Avaya Cloud Office UCaaS solution as part of their strategic partnership.

Altura holds special recognition with Extreme Networks and Cisco in addition to Avaya. Altura last summer joined Zebra Technologies’ channel program.
