Aruba partners can help customize 360 Secure Fabric solutions based on their customers’ specific need.

Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) company, on Monday introduced Aruba 360 Secure Fabric, a security framework that provides 360 degrees of analytics-driven attack detection and response aimed at helping organizations reduce their threat risk.

The company also is expanding its IntroSpect product family, allowing businesses to increase machine-learned behavior detection from small projects to full enterprise deployments. The expansion offers security teams more choice and a quick way to implement user and entity behavioral analytics (UEBA).

Larry Lunetta, Aruba’s vice president of security solutions marketing, tells Channel Partners Aruba 360 Secure Fabric offers a range of new opportunities for partners. Components include: a new network-agnostic family of continuous monitoring and advanced attack detection software; ClearPass, a network access control (NAC) and policy management security offering; and security capabilities embedded in the foundation across all of Aruba’s Wi-Fi access points, wireless controllers and switches.

“In addition to new revenue opportunities, it opens new services opportunities as channel partners can help customize the 360 Secure Fabric solutions based on their customers’ specific needs,” he said. “For example, partners can help formulate and implement ClearPass network access control policies to reflect who and what can connect to the network and what resources they can use. Partners can also provide additional value with IntroSpect, as they have the opportunity to reflect business context and asset value in the risk scores that are generated by the machine learning models.”

The IntroSpect expansion also provides new opportunities for partners, Lunetta said.

“For example, IntroSpect Standard is a very streamlined entry point to behavioral analytics technology, which is a key initiative for security teams,” he said. “In addition, because the components of the 360 Secure Fabric are well integrated, channel partners can upsell, for example, IntroSpect to ClearPass customers. Plus, all the 360 Secure Fabric components work with non-Aruba security products and IT infrastructure, so any customer can take advantage of the protection Aruba provides.”

UEBA is an early-stage market and the key verticals for IntroSpect today are financial services, government, health care, retail, energy and technology — organizations that have high-value assets and sensitive information that they need to protect, and who have been the target of new types of attacks, Lunetta said.

“However, all organizations are concerned with security, so over time we will see the range of vertical markets interested in solutions like these expand,” he said.
