Application management company appOrbit on Monday unveiled its first partner program that encourages participation from SIs, VARs and marketplaces.

The appOrbit enterprise application platform allows IT organizations to automate the modeling, delivery and management of enterprise software onto any modern infrastructure. Collaboration with appOrbit offers services partners and SIs a “unique solution … that reduces IT spend, accelerates application-release cycles, improves application quality and allocates more resources to new innovation,” the company said.

Rahul Ravulur, appOrbit’s CEO, tells Channel Partners that customers are looking for a consultative and scalable approach to their digital transformation initiatives.

“AppOrbit with its partners can deliver an end-to-end solution for their joint customers to not only design solutions, but build and deliver them to the finish line to achieve business outcomes,”  he said. “Enterprises are in a race to transform their IT infrastructure and applications, but making this journey is challenging when most organizations spend 80 percent of their budgets just keeping the lights on. Most transformation solutions are custom built, which are expensive to implement and maintain. With appOrbit, partners can use a standardized step by step approach to modernize applications, leverage cloud infrastructure while eliminating or greatly reducing custom modifications. This greatly reduces the total cost of ownership while accelerating time to value.”

appOrbit emerged from stealth and repurposed its legacy apps earlier this summer.

Both customer and partner feedback played an integral role in the formulation of the program, Ravulur said.

“As customers are looking to accelerate their digital-transformation initiatives, they are looking for a combination of product and services to accelerate their time to value to achieve their business outcomes,” he said. “Partners can leverage appOrbit’s transformational platform to reliably transform, design, test and operate applications at scale.”

Current services partners include Ericsson, Capgemini, Wipro, Infosys, KPIT and Infogain.

The appOrbit platform is available in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

“We are looking to engage deeply with our existing partners and selectively expand the program based on geographic or vertical focus,” Ravulur said.

“In our world, we bring clients value through people, process and technology,” said Ramanath Suryaprakash, Infosys’ associate vice president of corporate alliances. “Leveraging innovative technologies like the appOrbit platform allows us to meet our clients’ digital transformation goals in parallel with simplifying internal processes and allowing employees to realize their full potential.”
