Bartels led Agility’s switch from break-fix to true managed services. His focus has pushed Agility onto the list of North America’s top 200 managed services providers. (Agility was ranked 129 in Feb. 2012).

Over the past five years, Baucum has shifted the company’s direction firmly in the direction of managed services. Monthly recurring revenue has increased 20 percent over the past 12 months, with new clients coming onboard each month. Baucum has stressed the need for a documented, repeatable process to recruit and bring on new MSP customers, and those efforts are paying dividends. Furthermore, Baicum is active in VTN and HTG peer groups, ensuring CTSI remains a leader in the Managed Services space.

Tim Beard, President and CEO, Networthy Systems

Beard has grown annual revenues 25 percent in 2012 while expanding the offerings of Networthy Systems. He is the lead facilitator for the ConnectWise South Central User Group. Beard sits on the advisory council of ConnectWise. Tim continues to participate in the many forums to help other MSP entrepreneurs succeed with their businesses as well.

Brad Benner, Principal, NexNow

Benner ran a successful MSP in Seattle, which he sold in 2010 and spent 2011 traveling. His latest venture, NexNow, provides consulting, tools, and solutions to ConnectWise partners. He was in HTG 14, was featured in the first ConnectWise TV episode, co-facilitated the CW NW User Group, and routinely presents at IT Nation.

Ryan Berg, President, Paragrid

Berg handles the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the organization. He is also responsible for building a business model that is responsive to customer needs and will ensure the company’s growth. With Berg’s guidance, Paragrid has been profitable since it’s very first year in 2008 and continues to grow annual revenues.

Gregg Berretta, VP of Americas, ThinkGrid LLC

Colt acquired ThinkGrid in mid-2012. Prior to the deal, Berretta grew the US to 35% of global revenue for ThinkGrid. He added over 25 MSP partners to the ThinkGrid reseller program in the last six months. Berretta trained over 800 MSP’s in Cloud Services in the last 4 months.

Berry has helped MSPs and solution providers to increase recurring revenue and build thier businesses by integrating with applications such as Quosal, Tigerpaw and Sales Doc Architect. Those integrations automatically provide a monthly payment to their clients on every sale. Berry spent six years working as a VAR and MSP before joining GreatAmerica.

Philip Bird, Managing Director, The PC Support Group

Bird has built a UK success story, launching the business in 2006, offering corporate level support to home users and businesses and growing to a turnover of over å£1 million. The company now has 11 branches across the UK, serving more than 1,000 customers. The company was recently named “Most loved Computer Services and IT Support” by thebestof.co.uk and also surfaced as a top 50 MSP in EMEA, according to MSPmentor.

Bohanan is well-known for her PR skills within the managed services ecosystem. (And she always answers MSPmentor’s calls for comment.) She brings a rare combination of warmth, energy and professionalism to her role as co-owner of CommCentric Solutions.

James Bowen, CIO, Five Nines Technology Group

Bowen serves as the company’s lead systems engineer and consultant — helping to build one of Nebraska’s top MSPs. Five Nines has been ranked on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing privately held companies several times in revent years. Bowen also serves on the Board of Trustees for the March of Dimes and the Board of Directors for Community Development Resources.

Braun is Chair of the CompTIA MSP Partners Community, which recently celebrated the successful one-year anniversary of the CompTIA MSP Partners Trustmark credential for solution provider accreditation.

John Breakey, Founder and CEO, Promys

Breakey built a successful IT service provider that focused heavly on Cisco solutions. He spun out Promys as a business management and PSA (professional services automation) software platform. Promys works with larger MSPs and IT service providers and — not by coincidence — has caught on with many Cisco channel partners.

Ditlev Bredahl, CEO, OnApp

Bredahl is an Internet and hosting industry veteran, with more than 15 years’ experience leading hosting and technology companies. His latest focus is OnApp, a software platform that powers cloud, content delivery networks and storage services.

Thomas Bresse, CTO, BeProductiv

Bresse founded BeProductiv in 2006, and the company claimed to be the first MSP in France. Since joining with Axone Group last year, BeProductiv has generated 400% growth in one year and plans to go nationwide.

Darren Bridges, President, Safe Systems, Inc.

Despite the economic uncertainty in the banking industry, in 2011 Bridges led Safe Systems to add over 100 new banking clients and contracts in 16 states and a 19% revenue increase. Bridges has also helped the company to maintain a 99%+ client retention rate.

Paul Brown, CEO, Certus IT Ltd

From 2001 through 2011, Brown helped to build one of the first SME-focused focused MSPs in Wales and the south of the UK. The company has delivered over 20 percent annual growth 2008 through 2012, and continues to expand its portfolio of managed services and cloud services with an impressive growing portfolio of clients from the financial services, professional services, leisure and public sector verticals. Since taking over as CEO in 2012, Brown has overseen the launch of Certus IT’s data center division, Certus DC, in partnership with NGD Europe, to provide enterprise IaaS solutions including VMware and Hyper-V public and private cloud solutions and managed business continuity solutions including storage on demand and server recovery. The facility is located in Europe’s largest tier3+ data center and is a state of the art 75,000sqm data center with capacity for 18,000 racks and 150MVa of power.

Brucker has doubled the size of Solve IT in two years, going from 10 employees in 2010 to 21 employees now. He acquired an IT business and has brought in more than 30 new clients in 2012.  Brucker continues to encourage participation in Solve IT Serves and its mission to give back to the community. Garrett is a leader within HTG Peer Groups, serving on the Advisory Council providing guidance and direction and serving as a sounding board and litmus test for all areas of HTG.

Tim Burke, CEO, Quest Systems

During the past 30 years, Burke has grown his firm from an idea to a global $100 million company. The firm surfaces near the top of our annual MSPmentor 100 survey, thanks to a successful mix of cloud and managed services.

Andrew Burton, Senior VP of Products, LogMeIn

Burton has overseen LogMeIn’s deeper push into the managed services market. Already a popular provider of remote control tools, LogMe has expanded its capabilities to include integrated anti-virus support and multi-user IT support capabilities. Burton leads the development of all of LogMeIn’s cloud-based access, support and collaboration offerings.

Tracy Butler, President, Acropolis Technology Group

With Butler as president, Acropolis has continued to grow year over year service revenues by 18.3% (2010-1011) with the majority of this growth coming from managed services. In addition, Acropolis has maintained customer satisfaction scores above 97% while maintaining high profitability.

Mike Byrne, Director of MSP, Network Management Division, Quest Software
