XO Communications Inc. has hired former TNCI channel manager Mara Nursement as a partner business development manager in the West Region. 

Nursement has more than 27 years of experience in telecommunications. Most recently she spent eight years at TNCI, a carrier that is being acquired about of bankruptcy by Blue Casa Telephone. At TNCI, Nursement was a master-agent manager responsible for recruiting new agents and working with direct, subagent and large master agents. Specifically, she managed the provider’s relationship with master agency Intelisys.

At XO, Nursement will continue to manage the Intelisys relationship from offices in Roseville, Calif. She reports to Frank Reyes, area director for the West Region. She joins two other partner business development managers in the West region.

I am excited to have someone with Maras channel experience and industry knowledge,” said Reyes. “I am looking forward to double-digit sales growth with Intelisys.” 

Carol Beering, senior vice president of sales operations for Intelisys, said that Nursement has worked with Intelisys for more than 10 years through various suppliers.

“She has had a very positive impact on the experience and growth our sales partners have experienced with these suppliers,” Beering said. “We are looking forward to seeing the same impact with XO as we continue to grow our business in 2013 and beyond.”
