Vonage has released two tools to help facilitate digital transformation for businesses — one for conferencing and the other for messaging.

The first is Vonage Meetings API, a no-code, embeddable video conferencing solution. Now businesses can deliver global, customizable video conferencing capabilities to any website or platform. The company said this enhances interactions by integrating visual engagement directly into the user experience or workflows. This means there’s no need for developer expertise.

“The key differentiator for Vonage Meetings API is the user experience,” Maayan said. “The no-code Meetings API is built from the point of view of a non-developer user or citizen developer, empowering them with the easy-to-implement technology to create sophisticated experiences for their users that are integrated and branded, with a native look and feel.”

Meetings API ensures video calls look and feel native and the end user does not need to download another app and toggle between browser screens. The company accomplishes this with a code that doesn’t require video or developer expertise.

In addition, the pre-built Meetings API has all the capabilities needed for an effective video meeting, the company said. This includes private meeting access, lock meeting, join before host, waiting room, passwords, background blurring, HIPAA compliance for telemedicine applications. The client can also optimize performance and user experience for web, native or PSTN.

Digital Transformation and Omnichannel Campaigns

Vonage also has launched Proactive Connect. The company said the tool empowers businesses to deliver customized, large scale, omnichannel campaigns and bulk messages. This includes two-way interactions with their customers from a single marketing automation platform.

Vonage Proactive Connect provides a flexible and scalable way to initiate large scale, external conversations across any channel via Vonage APIs. This means voice, SMS and messaging including MMS, WhatsApp, Viber and Facebook Messenger.

“With the ability to configure every aspect of a customer campaign, Vonage Proactive Connect is changing the way businesses engage with customers,” Brown said. “By delivering the tools needed to personalize engagement at scale, Proactive Connect is helping Vonage customers exceed business results by making connections with their own customers that resonate and build brand loyalty.”

The applications vary. Vonage officials said the tool can create connections for mission-critical customer communications. For example, these include alerts on service outages and notifications/confirmation for appointments to reduce customer inquiries. The solution also gives customers a faster way to receive answers to urgent questions. Finally, they can get live support by messaging with intelligent bots, sales reps or support agents directly.

Vonage Proactive Connect uses automated conversational workflows, including AI enabled solutions and a low code dashboard.
