Unify, the former Siemens Enterprise Communications, has released the seventh version of its OpenScape 4000 UC platform.

The product now includes on-number service on all devices, including OpenScape TDM and IP phones;  increased security via encryption keys that change every minute; and improved UC integration for managing presence status and preferred devices.

OpenScape 4000 also will serve as the migration pathway to Project Ansible.

“Customers do not want to get locked into a dead-end architecture,” said Tim Banting, principal analyst, collaboration and communications for Current Analysis. “OpenScape 4000 is an important step in that strategy.”

OpenScape 4000 is available now, and through channel partners.
