The new CEO of Unify is assembling a fresh executive team after the collaboration provider finished a clean sweep of its C-level people late last year.

Dean Douglas, who came to Unify from distributor Westcon Group and succeeded Hamid Akhavan on Jan. 16, this week named Jon Pritchard as Unify’s executive vice president of worldwide channels.

Pritchard, too, hails from Westcon Group, so it may be fair to expect to see more such appointments as Douglas creates a lineup of leaders who specialize in enterprise technologies and the channel. That’s what the Unify board is seeking, after all, as it prepares to debut its much-ballyhooed Project Ansible platform, and as it works to improve OpenScape sales.

“Growing revenue through complementary indirect channels is one of Unify’s highest priorities and we need to further increase our focus on being channel-ready and providing value to our partners,” Douglas said in a press release. “Jon brings global channel expertise to Unify to help lead this charge and take advantage of opportunities in the market.”

Technically, Pritchard joins Unify from Comstor Worldwide, a division of Westcon Group. There, he oversaw global operations for Westcon’s Cisco practice; Pritchard also has worked for Ingram Micro UK. At Unify, he is responsible for all indirect channel activities.
