TelePacific Expands Reach of IP MPLS VPN Services

California-based CLEC TelePacific Communications said today it has expanded its private IP MPLS VPN services to include locations throughout the United States.

The services are available to the companys California and Nevada customers, and sold through channel partners.

TelePacific launched its private IP MPLS VPN in April of 2004 with wide area networking capabilities throughout its Cisco-powered IP network in California and Nevada. The carrier now has partnered with ClearPath Networks, a provider of managed service environments, so its customers can offer private IP connectivity to locations outside the TelePacific footprint.

ClearPaths Extended Reach service provides access to the TelePacific private IP VPN using ADSL, SDSL or T-1 facilities within ClearPath Networks’ coverage area.

TelePacific also has arranged to provide remote CPE services through ClearPath Networks for locations outside of both companies’ service areas. Using ClearPath’s SNAP appliance, TelePacific helps customers establish secure communications for remote sites by creating encrypted tunnels through the Internet to ClearPath’s network. Once traffic enters ClearPath’s network it is transported to the TelePacific private IP network using ClearPath’s private MPLS network, thus enabling customers to integrate these sites into their Private IP VPN network.
