Telarus is bulking up partner support for the Grand Canyon state.

The Utah-based master agent hired Tanya Palmateer to serve as senior partner development manager of Arizona. She’ll recruit new partners and help existing members expand their portfolios.

Mike Bettilyon, Telarus’ west area vice president, said Arizona partners will receive direct Telarus representation to help them grow their technology practices. He named cybersecurity and contact center as the hottest two segments of the Telarus line card.

“We’ve known and worked with Tanya for quite some time and know firsthand how well she performs when it comes to helping channel partners expand their UCaaS, network and SD-WAN sales,” Bettilyon said. “She knows this business, she knows who the players are, and most of all, she knows the value Telarus brings to our partners.”

Palmateer most recently served as an inside channel manager for PlanetOne Communications. She also worked for TPx Communications and spent another five years managing partners with ShoreTel. She lives in Mesa, Arizona.

Palmateer said she met multiple Telarus subagents while working with ShoreTel and TPx.

“I’ve always felt that, if the opportunity arises, I’d like to join their team. The culture they’ve built over 19 years and the solid reputation of always innovating to help their partners punch outside their weight class has attracted me, and many of the industry’s top trusted advisers and subject-matter-experts to them,” she said. “I’m excited to help them tell their story, one of building software tools for their partners, one of hiring the top engineers in the business, one of building financial programs to help their partners grow and to tell our partners here in Arizona what can happen if they lean hard into Telarus. This business is all about leverage, relationships and execution — and Telarus has all three.”

Telarus in July announced new senior partner development managers to cover Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, western Pennsylvania and Georgia. The company consolidated its six regions into three earlier this year.

Telarus recently signed an agreement with Fusion Connect.
