In his new role, Whalen will work closely with vendors to identify products and create specific programs that TBI partners can leverage to increase sales. He brings 20 years of telecom industry experience to TBI, with the last 16 being in various leadership roles within CenturyLink.

Most recently, he managed the CenturyLink-TBI relationship, helping to align products and channel sales teams across the country. He spearheaded many new programs within CenturyLink’s channel program.

“It has been rewarding to spend the last several years working alongside TBI and contributing to their growth,” Whalen said. “I am very excited to be able to join this talented, award-winning team that has established themselves as not only a premier master agency but a reliable and trustworthy business partner to both agents and vendors alike. I’m excited to help accelerate TBI’s success as they move to the next level.”

“Scott is highly regarded in the industry and among TBI’s agent community,” said Geoff Shepstone, TBI’s president. “We’re excited to have him join the executive leadership. His longstanding relationship with TBI, proven leadership and hands-on organization will augment TBI’s value of white-glove service delivery.”
