SiP Micro Deploys MERAs Softswitch

SiP Micro Systems Inc. has deployed the VoIP Transit Softswitch (MVTS) from MERA Systems (Booth 212) on its international VoIP network. MVTS will enable the U.S.-based telco to extend its presence in the Latin American and African markets.

The carrier utilizes MVTS to centralize route management of its carriers and assure compatibility with various codecs as well as test H.323-SIP conversion options for future service offerings. This installation features a flexible management structure with multilevel access for network engineers and support managers to monitor routes and ASR with customers and promptly respond to the changing customer demands.

The advanced traffic management tools will enable dynamic call routing based on various factors including highest ASR, cost/quality ratio, and route availability of existing carriers. These advanced capabilities allow SiP Micro to manage different tariff schemes efficiently and offer interesting rates and quality of service to its network of resellers, enabling them to remain competitive in their respective markets without any compromise on profitability.
